newbie..incompetent.....and losing confidence

Post by achinghead »

:( i downloaded the lite version and want to record me playing rhythm guitar on track 1 then record the lead on track 2 whilst hearing track 1. I am able to do this but track one re records itself on track 2
so i end up with a muddy sound.
i am recording in mono.
if some one can just give a push in the right direction i know i could come out of this depression i'm in.

What are your sound card settings, what system are you using?

Are you using speakers or headphones. If you have recorded track 1 then that seems to work. Make sure you just arm track two and start from the beginning. You should get a second track.

Make sure that you don't have microphone ticked in your audio control panel.
