Here's a cover my old band and I recently recorded using MTS. I'd appreciate you guys giving it a listen and letting me know what you think. After we finished recording, our bass player put together a video. I hope you like it.

Walk Away Renee' cover
Re: Walk Away Renee' cover
I really miss the strings. That (and the vocal harmonies) really made the original song, to me.
Re: Walk Away Renee' cover
I liked the arrangement, especially the acoustic guitar work. I agree with Saz regarding the strings, a subtle string section in the background could work, and the harmonies could maybe use some more higher registers. Although on the other hand, you don't want to sound like a copy of the original anyway. The video is nice as well, I enjoyed the listen.

We chose not to sound too much like the original although we obviously are big fans of the group and the song - we also recorded a version of Desiree' as previously posted. We were pleased with our version although no one can ever beat the original. Stripped down without all the strings and so forth, it's a beautiful song even in its simplest state.sinbad wrote:I liked the arrangement, especially the acoustic guitar work. I appreciate you guys taking the time to listen and comment. Thanks a lot.
Re: Walk Away Renee' cover
After watching your video I noticed one by Cyndi Lauper and Peter Kingsbery. That sounded completely different of course and put your version more into perspective without comparison with the original.
