I have noticed that there is a 1 second lag on most of the UI controls in the MultitrackStudio. When I move fader, pan knob, any effect controls or even click mute or solo buttons, the changes take effect one second later. It seems that only transport controls don't have this delay.
It's quite annoying, especially when looking for frequencies in EQ or even simply adjusting track levels in the mix.
I have checked PC version, and it also has this issue (or feature?). Can this be avoided somehow, or is it intended? There's no such UI problem in any other DAW I have ever used on iPAD or desktop, so why is it present in MultitrackStudio? Am I missing something?
Thanks
John
Is the UI lag intended?
Re: Is the UI lag intended?
That's by design: if audio latency matters there's no lag (recording MIDI instruments for example). Everything else is processed about 0,7 seconds in advance in order to improve performance.
This may change in a future release, but there's currently nothing you can do about it.

Ah, I see. It would be great if this could be improved in the future update. If it's important for performance, perhaps it could be enabled/disabled in the settings.
Thank you very much.

Ooof. .7 seconds seems pretty high. Is that a new problem?

I guess if I never noticed, it must not be a big deal. But NOW I'll notice it!!

Is automation for fader moves and effects almost a second late too?

Unsolicited opinion: If it means losing the fluidity of the app in general, leave it alone. Automation is virtually instantaneous.
