Great Sounding Tape Saturation Plugin

As I worked with the MTS demo on some drum tracks to figure out if whether to purchase (which I am), I have been quite impressed with the native compression effects for all-purpose dynamic control and attack/tone shaping. However, I like to run something with a little more analog character on my drum groups. I found a really nice tape saturation VST that I think is worth sharing, the FerricTDS-Tape Dynamics Simulator by Variety of Sound.
I recommend trying it on a bus (or possibly on individual tracks) for some musical-sounding dynamics. In the case of drums, I like the way that it sounds if you hit it just hard enough to get the dynamics to pump very slightly to the beat. The saturation knob can be adjusted to taste. It's subtle, but pretty impressive and FREE (esp. compared to the $300 Waves Abbey Road J37). Try it out!
