I am a huge fan of MTS for ipad and love all the built-in effects options, expecially the time-stretch features and the quirky, but useable vocal tuner. Unless I am doing something wrong, it seems that most of the built-in effects are pure "Track" effects, meaning affecting every note recorded on an single tract. Are there any options for adding effects to isolated passages within a track? For instance adding an echo or a heavy reverb to only segments of a tracts vocal recordings? Would this be possible using the audiobus or IAA features?

You can automate (almost) any rotary knob using the Automation feature. You can automate a Reverb's Mix knob for example, so the effect only affect certain parts.
