Hi,
What computer interfaces have people used with their laptops that work well with MTS? There are so many on the market. I would not like to spend more than US$ 300, and preferably would like to spend less than that.

what interface to use?
I do recommend avoiding USB devices whenever possible, PCI soundcards may require opening up the box and inserting a car, but they can be far less problematic in the long run, especially for noobs, but even an old hand like myself has been frustrated by USB sound solutions that work one day and don't the next.
Firewire would be the next logical choice over a simple PCI soundcard solution, but the cost is likely to be higher for what you get.
The M-Audio Audiophile series soundcards, especially the AP2496, are a good deal, simple controls, good audio, work well with MTS, as would any of the Delta M-Audio series PCI versions. Nothing like a proven platform with mature drivers.
