I did not see an official feature request thread so I decided to post this as a new topic. In MTS on Mac I really like that when I hover the cursor over a note velocity bar (in the CC lane) in the piano roll view, the corresponding note is highlighted in the piano roll and the note’s name also appears on the screen (C5, A6, etc.).
I would love to also see the inverse of this added as a feature: When the cursor hovers over a note in the piano roll, it would be great if the corresponding velocity bar was highlighted down below and the note’s name appeared onscreen too. It can get very crowded down there in the CC lane with all those velocity bars so it would be quite useful to have them highlighted in this way!
And seeing a note’s name when the cursor hovers over it in the piano roll would be a feature that is quite useful in general, I would say, even aside from anything to do with velocity bars.
Notes and velocity bars feature request
Re: Notes and velocity bars feature request
Thanks for the suggestion.
FTR: you can edit a note's velocity in the pianoroll itself too. Press the mouse button while the V key is pressed. A slider appears, you can use it until you release the mouse button.

Re: Notes and velocity bars feature request
Thanks, I did not know that. I have not really used the mouse modifiers yet. Actually, now that I just tried it out, I see that it is possible to change the velocity of an entire selection of notes using the V key mouse modifier.
I had recently tried to do this (to change the velocity of a selected group of notes) using the velocity bars in the CC lane but I could not figure out how to do it - so maybe using the V key mouse modifier is the only way to do this-?

You can also use the EDIT button that's below the pianoroll. There's a Velocity slider.LeftyChris wrote: ↑Sat May 28, 2022 9:30 am I had recently tried to do this (to change the velocity of a selected group of notes) using the velocity bars in the CC lane but I could not figure out how to do it - so maybe using the V key mouse modifier is the only way to do this-?
