Can you help ?

Post by Demto »

I have downloaded MTS lite.

The reason I am looking for another multitracker is that I already
have Ntrack but find it "buggy" and unstable. I'm not alone as other users also have problems with it.

I have 3 questions about MTS and would be very gratefull for any
opinions you have before buying.

My questions are

1. Is it stable.

2 Is it reasonably easy to use. I will probably only be recording four
tracks to a song with a mixdown to stereo. Nothing complicated.

3. The Lite version does not allow the use of 'punch-in/out' so I cant
check how this works. Is it fairly easy to use and reliable. Nobody
using Ntrack seems to be able to get this to work and this feature
is important to me as I dont want to record the whole track
again.

Once again I would be gratefull for any opinions you have.

Hi Demto!

The answers to your questions are yes, on all 3 counts. :)

I don't think you can find a more feature-rich, stabile and easy to use multitrack software at any price. MTS simply Rocks!

As far as 'punch-in/out' - it's as easy as opening the edit window and selecting the part you want to replace, click the track record button, click the punch button and press the spacebar to start recording. It works great!

Also what i do is open a new track and record the part i want to do over and then simply copy and paste it over the old bad part in the other track, and all is better, MTS kicks NT virtual back side in audio editting, and midi as well, NT has some more glitzy features, and does a fster (nonreal time) mixdown, but MTS works better and is far more stable.

I use the professional version.

1. Yes, it is stable.

2. Very easy to use!

3. Punch-in/out it has - But! I never have used it,
so I cant comment on it.
