Edited and Save Midi, Midi became garbage

Post by audioslave »

Hi,

I have just edited a piano midi song and have saved the modified version. Now, when I try to play it in winamp, the whole song was like garbage. Not sure why but when I try to open the modified file using MTS again, the file is still playing nicely.

Did I export the file in a wrong way? Would appreciate if anyone could help. Thanks.

PS: I have read the FAQ but I still don't understand what I should do :(

I found you also need to check the 480 tick option to export midi to use in music notation software as well...

(Though normally I try to avoid them dots :D )

I think that check box determines whether SMTPE timecode info is stored in the file (mode 1 or 2) Most programs like 0 or 1 but mode 2 can cause difficulties. :D
