Can someone briefly tell me what the Effect Return does/doesn't do ... another aspect is for example: the difference of putting the reverb in the slot on the track versus putting the reverb it in the slot of the effects return...thanks
or guide me to an explantion in the manual...not seeing it...
Efffects Return question from newbie
they basically do the same add FX to a track, the advantage of the effects sends is that one can use say a reverb and then send all of the tracks thru it with out having to add 10 reverbs to 10 tracks and load up the project. some tracks may need a little reverb, some a lot, this allow custom application, I usually add three effects sends one reverb, one compressor, and one EQ. then place another compressor on the main buss and finish with a master limiter. In the EQ send i follow the EQ with a spectrum analizer, to see what the EQ is doing.
Then if i thing an individual track needs something else i add that to it's FX bin.
