Question on midi editing for Giel

Post by sinbad »

In the drum editor it is possible to select similar notes for editing. This is not possible in the piano roll, is there a particular reason for that, or has it not been requested before?

Drums can't be transposed, so it's easy to find 'similar notes'. If the pianoroll or score editors had this feature you'd expect it to find 'similar notes' in transposed parts as well I think. This isn't as easy to implement, but it's possible of course. Nobody has asked for it I think, are you asking for it?

Sort of :D
It would be nice to be able to select a note on the vertical piano with a right hand mouse click and highlight all notes on that note, then be able to batch edit them.

OK.

Looks like you weren't referring to the drum editor's "Select similar notes" feature, which doesn't really do that (see http://www.multitrackstudio.com/drum.php, bottom of page).
