Which 4-channel audio input device for Windows 7 64 bit OS?

Post by DoctorWu »

Like the subject line says: I need advice: Which 4-channel audio input device for Windows 7 64 bit OS?

I am leaning to the Akai Akai Professional EIE USB Audio Recording Interface. Anyone using this?

I'm using the Steinberg UR44, it works perfectly without any problems till now (Windows 7 x64) :)

What kind of inputs do you need? Four full XLR inputs with preamps and phantom power? One or two HiZ inputs? MIDI or no MIDI?

What about the outputs? Stereo?

Maybe you would like the Steinberg UR242? :)

Another recommendation for the UR242 or UR44. I own three Steinberg interfaces: the MR816X (Firewire), UR28m and UR22 (both USB).

Rock solid performance, and great sound. Never had any issues here either (I'm on Win 8.1).
