Thank you for the update Giel. As usual a great service from Bremmer Audio
Maybe, just a little maybe, in the next version a wider track name window.
MTS 8.2 thanks Giel
Re: MTS 8.2 thanks Giel
Thanks for your work on the new "Guitar Amp", Giel!
Being able to use our own IR's Rocks! In just 15 minutes of trying it out,
I dialed-in a new, mid to high gain solo sound that will get a lot of use.
Looking forward to spending more time with it!

How about sharing the preset Saz
Re: MTS 8.2 thanks Giel
Man, I don't know - this preset sounds so good, I should keep it as a signature.sinbad wrote:How about sharing the preset Saz
But, in the spirit of the season, I guess I can share.
First, the way I set it up, it uses 2 paid and 1 free plugin, 1 paid speaker impulse and the "Guitar Amp" effect.
You can probably sub for the paid plugins to a degree, but the speaker impulse has a big effect on the overall tone.
For the High Gain Solo sound, in order...
Waves Renaissance Axx Mono - Tweak 'Sustained' preset to taste (I have Threshold @ -22.4, Attack @ 0.00, Gain @ -12.7)
Ignite Amps TS-999 - Default setting, except 'Fat' and 'Asym' switches ticked on.
MTS Guitar Amp - Start with 'Hot Fuzz' preset, add Ownhammer H-BB-55_T1_Studio-Modern IR and tweak amp settings to taste.
S-Gear 2 - I'm using this only for Delay(464 ms stereo tap) and Reverb(Hall type) presets I have tweaked for my own use for slower songs.
Use whatever Delays and Reverbs you like.
For the Mid Gain Solo sound, just bypass the Renaissance Axx.
Re: MTS 8.2 thanks Giel
Thank you kind Sir.
As I don't have the same gear as you I'll have to improvise a bit, but it gives me something to build on.

Re: MTS 8.2 thanks Giel
I'm sure you can get close or better.
So far, the MTS Guitar Amp has interfaced/worked well with the 3rd party plugs I've tried. I just used plugs/presets/IR that I've become very familiar with and know how they react.
I'll try to set up something similar using only MTS effects in a few days. If it works OK, I'll post back. In the meantime, here's some free character-altering plugs that work well before MTS Guitar Amp...
For a little grunge and sustain on clean settings or more on distorted settings...
DC1A - http://www.klanghelm.com/DC1A.php
Vitamin-C - http://distorqueaudio.com/plugins/vitamin-c.html
For a little bright boost and to tighten up somewhat flabby bass strings(default setting)...
TSE 808 - https://www.tseaudio.com/software/tse808
and of course
Ignite Amps TS-999 - http://www.kvraudio.com/product/ts-999-by-ignite-amps
adds a bit of warm boost.

Re: MTS 8.2 thanks Giel
Hey sinbad - Got a Mid-Hi Gain Chain preset for you to try. It's not the same as the first one I was talking about, but I think it's just as good and uses MTS effects and free plugins/IR's. I should mention this is for PC and Windows 7 64bit is what I'm using. I'm sure you know the drill for this stuff, but I'll take it step-by-step for the benefit of those who may not.
First, you'll need to download a free IR pack from Ownhammer... http://www.ownhammer.com/free/v4-demo/ It's a nice package based on a Celestion Vintage 30.
It contains a bunch of files and folders, but this folder - Ownhammer Mesa V60\OwnHammer\Wav-200ms\44100-Hz\412 MES-ST\V60\Mixes\Mpt - contains what I used. You'll want to put this folder in your MTS IR Directory - mine's at C:\Program Files\MtStudio\IR\
You'll also need the free TS-999 v1.5.2 and TSE 808 v2.0 VST plugins.
Next, here's how the Chain goes. (I'll provide text below to save the preset as a MultiEffect)
TS-999 v1.5.2 - Default, plus switch FAT & ASYM on
into
TSE 808 v2.0 - Default
into
MTS Guitar Amp > MTS Chorus > MTS Stereo Effect > MTS Reverb
Copy and Paste the text below, (between the lines), in Notepad and save as "All Files" with the name - MTS Mid-Hi Gain Guitar Chain.Effect_Multieffect
Save it in your MTS Presets folder. Mine is located at... C:\Users\John\AppData\Roaming\MtStudio\Presets

Some usage notes...
If your MTS IR location is different than mine, you'll have to select an IR from within the Guitar Amp and re-Save.
I use this preset to play 'live' with the "Monitor" button on. I just setup a MTS Multi Effect in a track and choose the 'MTS Mid-Hi Gain Guitar Chain' preset. As is, it's good for slower solo's, but can be adjusted to suit a variety of needs. You may need to adjust the 'Noise Gate' or Volume/Tone controls for your particular setup.
Use the "Gain" control on the "Booster" section in the MTS Guitar Amp for more or less drive/sustain/distortion.
Try different IRs to best match your guitar/pickups. Usually, the lower the IR #, the brighter the sound and vice versa.
Not certain the TS-999 and TSE 808 presets above will save/import correctly. You may have to import them manually and save again.
I think that about covers it. Any problems/questions, let me know.

Re: MTS 8.2 thanks Giel
Thank you Saz. I'll do a shoot out between your presets and the Amplitube I normally use and post it in the music section. It sounds nice a raw with all the string noise compared to the amplitube.
