MTS9 Multi-Instrument: Hanging Notes on Automating CC89

Post by Lytz1 »

Tried out to automate CC89 from within a midi Fx on the new multi-instrument.
I get a lot of hanging notes.

To clarify:

When automating CC89 without a midi fx from the editor, all is good.
When automating CC89 with a VSTi midi fx inserted from the editor, it doesn't get passed through to the instrument. (nothing happens)
When automating CC89 from the Midi Fx itself it does lead to tons of hanging notes. (infinitely sustained, so to speak)

Not sure if anything can be done about that. I already found a workaround (apply to track first, then do the CC89 stuff
from the editor) but I wanted to let you know anyways.

Best,
tL.

On a side note: You also might want to consider a Midi-Multi Instrument, so that multiple Midi Fx's can be inserted into a single channel.
(good for midi plugs like force to key, force to range, invert, midi echo, chord-player etc. You can do nice stuff with chaining
more than one midi fx.)

All controllers pass through the midi effect, so if that effect does something to the controllers things wont work as expected.
I'll have a look at it.
