The Most Affordable, High-Performing Coolers On the Market: Reviews

If you have been searching for good coolers to bring along when you’re out of the house for some time, you may realise that the majority of the coolers featured in reviews and best-selling lists usually come with a price tag of hundreds of dollars. This can be pretty discouraging, especially if you’re trying to find a decent ice chest under a budget.

This article is here to help! We have selected Top Rated Coolers Image that are fairly cheap while still having great durability and performance for you to browse through.

1. Coleman Xtreme 70-Quart

In the affordable, high performance coolers department, nothing can really beat the Coleman Xtreme. All you need to do is to fill it up with enough ice to dock the internal temperature down to an ice cold range, and you will be able to bring food and drink perfectly preserved and nicely chilled anywhere you go.

It helps a lot that the spacious 70-quart internal volume sets out a lot of space for all of your stuff and loose ice packs. When the lid is opened up, it folds all the way back to provide easier access to the inside. This is a huge plus in its favour.

The insulation performance is great, too. Aside from the thick insulated walls, even the lid has been thickened to provide better insulation. In our test, the Coleman Xtreme managed to last nearly an entire week into the test before all of the loose ice thawed to a puddle at the bottom. This is where the leak-resistant drain comes into use, which can drain out all of the water in a few seconds.

It’s got foldable grips to either side, and we have found them to be rather comfortable for lugging the entire cooler around with.

However, the one drawback that this cooler has is the cheap material that it is constructed with (which also partly explains the cheap price). We don’t recommend this cooler for anything other than a light, short-term camping trip, in spite of its name. Furthermore, because it black, which naturally absorbs more sunlight and can heat up the outside of the cooler quicker, it is best for performance if you always keep it in the shade when possible.

2. Igloo Polar Cooler

Affordable and very spacious, the Igloo Polar Cooler can be the Image Best Coolers In The World for you if you don’t require a lot of portability (that’s a job the Coleman Xtreme excels at). Instead, if you only need a cooler for the occasional office party or camping trip that requires a lot of food and drink, this here is a great option.

This ice chest has a 120-quart capacity, and the insulated walls are thick enough to be able to keep the contents and the ice frozen for up to five days at a time.

Durability is not much of a problem for this rather heavy duty cooler, either. It has the kind of toughness that you will want in a long-distance trip cooler. However, the bulkiness, caused by the large capacity, can make it a hassle to transport.

The thawed or excess water can be quickly drained with the leak-proof drain at the bottom. The lid is closed down nice and tight with the secure, snap-fit latches to ensure that the air inside is safely contained and not leaked out. But beware that the latches are prone to damage, so you might find yourself having to replace them quite a few times.

Conclusion

These are the most affordable Top Rated Camping Coolers Image on the market that we could find. We hope that the article has been helpful in shaping your purchase decision!

That's what the Quality setting is supposed to do. Which version of MTS do you use? I recall there was something wrong with this at some point, but that's years ago.

It uses full stereo of course.

In my version 9.1 bitrates are:
Medium = 56 kbps
High = 128 kbps
Very high = 256 kbps

I also use 192kbps mp3's for the same reason. I usually just take the high rez file from MTS output (.wav) and transcode it in Audacity, which is an open source app.
