This happens consistently. When I copy tied notes in a two note chords in the score editor.From one track to another or the same track I always end up getting extra notes. Is this a bug I think it could be.

Ah, good catch.
The problem is that the lasso selects the tied notes twice. In this example it works OK if you don't lasso the half note.
Will be fixed in the next release!

Yes I see just lasso up to the eight note and even though they are both highlighted they copy correctly. No doubles.
