DigiStix2 Plug-in Crash

Post by toesalad »

I recently purchased DigiStix2 and while it works perfectly fine in Cubasis 3, it frequently crashes in MultiTrackStudio. I can make it crash every time if I open the plug-in and attempt to play one of the drum pads. It will crash often when attempting to play sounds a variety of ways in the plug-in UI.

Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot this? Is this a DigiStix2 issue, a MultiTrackStudio issue or something else?

Thanks!

Looks like this is a regression in iPadOS. Which version do you have?
I see the problem in 15.3.1, but not in 14.8. The first report of this issue was a week ago.

It has to do with MIDI output (from plugin to host). Playing the plugin's keyboard/pads crashes the plugin.
Ruismaker has the same problem for example. Oddly, some plugins work fine (Animoog Z for example).

I reported the issue to Apple a couple of days ago.

FTR:
1) MultitrackStudio for iPad version 4.4.1 contains a workaround to avoid this problem.

2) Apple has fixed the problem in the latest iPadOS 15.5 beta.
