Thanks Giel for the usability improvements added to the score view. The manual mentions the new method for entering notes directly using the Pencil but in case anyone was wondering, you just need to draw a small line downwards with the pencil to get a new note to appear without needing to wait. I do like the choice made for this gesture and I can’t see it being accidentally mistaken for other gestures. One tip is that the position of the note seems to lock in to the current grid setting so set to, e.g. 1/4 to guarantee the drawn note appears at a quarter note boundary.
The other couple of cool things that are going to help me are the intermediate dotted note states and the fix for the duplicate notes bug.
