Blue screen of death

Post by silexmt »

I haven't used MTS for a couple of weeks, and it was working fine then, but yesterday when I tried yo open it, my computer just went bsd. Trying to uninstall after that gives me a message "setup files corrupted" and refuses to uninstall. Manually deleting all files and reinstalling won't change anything. I tried to retrace every change I've made between those times and changed them, loaded last restore point, all without result.

I'm on Windows 7 running on Bootcamp on a MacPro; note that I also have MTS installed on my MacOS partiton (Catalina) and it works without problems, so I doubt it's an hardware issue.

Here's what the EvenLog has to say about it:

Bluescreens are usually caused by (audio device) drivers. So you could try changing something in that area.

That was pretty much it: uninstalling-reinstalling Realtek Audio fixed the problem. Maybe it was corrupt.
