Moving MTrack to another computer?

Post by fingersonly »

saving song files to transfer to another computer.
I can just copy the files and then put them in the song file folder on the new computer .... right?
Do I save them as music or data files?
Sorry, brain cramps
and what about tranffering the VST and other plugs?

O.K. I will humiliate my self again. And I did try to find the answer in the manual and the previous post.
But I cannot get my simple drum tracks I created in ACID from my old machine to the new one. I have got everything else set up, new soundcard, moved my VST and other plugins.
What am I doing wrong? I copy the song folders try to open the copied HDR files and it does not work.

Export the drum tracks in acid as wave files and burn them to a CD then rip then on the new machine and import them to MTS.
