Drum pan question

Post by uncle808us »

I am using the matrix sampler for my drums in a rock genre.
The individual pan per note control works as it should but the pan goes back to the center with every new note entry and has to be reset.
Take for instance a note that represents the crash cymbal. Entered at measure 1 panned to 100 (right) fine sounds panned to the right.
Now we go to measure 2. Enter the note representing the crash cymbal again the pan is now back to 64 (center) and must be reset again to 100 (right).
Is there a way to keep the pan controller always at 100 (right) when entering the note representing the crash cymbal?
Here’s hoping I’ve made my question clear.
Thank you for reading, I hope to find a solution.

Hm, interesting. I was designed to work the way it works, but that's not what you want in this case. Back to the drawing board ;-)

For now it's probably best to do the per-note panning when the song is nearly finished.

Alright for now I will wait until the song is nearly finished. Should the panning be done on the last measure or the first? For the entire length of the song.

Just one dot at the start works for the whole track.
