Save to different keys?

Post by Drdrdaddeo »

I’m currently assembling multitrack MIDI songs for various singers in MTS for ipad. I can easily change an entire MIDI song’s key signature by using the edit/transpose function on each track, then renaming the song to reflect its new key signature. The old song is automatically saved with its new name and in its new key. However, the old song is then no longer retained in the saved song list. Thus old MIDI songs can’t be easily saved in different keys for different singers. I can easily EXPORT each differently keyed MIDI SONG to Audioshare for reimporting as needed, but reimported Midi songs don’t include any track effects. Thus extensive track effects editing becomes necessary for each midi song that is reimported into MTS to accommodate key preferences. Is there any way to quickly save differently keyed, but otherwise identical, MIDI songs that can be quickly openen with all their orginal track effects?
Thanks,

You can create a copy of a song like this:

- Use Song-->Export-->Export MultitrackStudio Song. You can use the "iTunes File Sharing" Destination.
- Now use Song--> Import Song to import it again.
- Now you'll probably want to rename it.
