Panning Question.

Post by uncle808us »

Why doesn’t the panning knob (mixer) not move the pan control?

The Pan controller is a MIDI controller (number 10). These vales are sent to the MIDI instrument (MTSi in this case).

The Pan knob acts on the audio output of the track. It can be automated using Automation, just like faders or almost any other knob.

When I am in the composing stage. To place my instruments should I be using the panning knob or the panning control?

Imported MIDI files use the Pan controller. Also, you'd use it if you want your MIDI files to play back correctly outside of MultitrackStudio.
