How should I load .WAV files ?

I have about 15 .WAV files which each represent different sequential drum patterns from the same song. How do I load them up so that they flow from first to last ?

So far, I am thinking to load each file into a separate audio track, and then shift it to the appropriate time position using editing. Is this valid or is there an easier way to do it ? Would I use the Saved Audio Clips bin from the Shelf ?

I use Acid to do that, used to use an Audio Editor (Soundforge) -- don't see why they free Audacity.exe wouldn't be able to do that job. Slice and dice by importing the wavs into audacity first, then export as one continuous wav file, import into mts.

For anybody who is wondering, here's what I did for a composite drum track...

1) Created a new track for each .WAV file
2) Loaded up each new track with a .WAV file
3) Muted the new audio tracks
4) Copied each new .WAV file into position on the drum track
5) Removed the new audio tracks, but keep the drum track
