MrHope: on the left is an AKG C2000B and on the right is an AKG Perception 420.

Giel: I was dredging ebay for a cheap ECC83 to replace a 12A7XA valve in a preamp to see if it gives a nicer sound.
Vintage is a term I reserve for wine :wink:
