Great Update

Post by Mgmg4871 »

Update is working. Thank you. All but ISEM works. With ISEM, no sound unless you start ISEM outside MTS. It will record only if you set record in MTS, but then ISEM seems to disconnect.. These are apps I've tried that work.

Drumjam

Synthecaster

iPolysynth

Arctic Prosynth

Cube Synth

Galileo Organ

iTuttle

Nanologue

Soundfont Pro

Please try this with iSEM:

- terminate both iSEM and MTS using the multitasking bar
- start MTS
- load iSEM in an instrument slot
- load iSEM again in this slot, ie. longtap the slot again and tap the iSEM line.

Some IAA apps don't work OK if a host opens the app while the app wasn't running already. Loading it again solves this issue.

If it still doesn't work there's a problem indeed.

After update tried to record Sampletank and BS16i. ST unloads again, have to re-load it. But nothing is heard on the out even the MIDI is visibly recorded on the piano roll. BS-16i loads fine, but again nothing on the output of the recorded track. MTS built-in instruments play just fine. Log has been e-mailed to you.

That's a SampleTank bug. Feel free to tell IK ;-)

Tried for a couple of times. Nothing. Same with Magellan. New log e-mailed.

Note that you must actually terminate the app. If it doesn't appear on the multitasking bar you have to start the app yourself and then terminate it.

You can also try doing the same with MultitrackStudio itself. This is typically not necessary though.

Giel, I'm very used to termination :) Did it multiple times in all possible forms. None.

That's what I expected.

You're probably not very used to the 'load it again' part I mentioned. Did you do that as well? This does the trick for Galileo, so I'd expect it to work for Magellan too since it's from the same developer.

I found it better to just open Magellan, Galileo, and ISEM first, and then connect from within MTS.

That's a good idea.

Do you think MTS is more picky about issues like this than other IAA host apps?

It probably is. This is something I got from a Dev that was needing to open his app from outside the host. He finally got it fixed.

Previously I was initializing and starting my engine. The fix was to start the create the Remote IO AudioUnit ASAP and give its pointer to IAA. Hope that helps. If not let me know.

I'm wondering if there's something you can do on your end to maybe lengthen the initialization time, so app doesn't timeout so soon. Of course I'm only guessing.
