Re: ReGain Freedom (24-bit FLAC) by Apophenia Confabulation
Apophenia,
Just so You know...
Tried ck.ing out the Tune and got this:
"Oops, looks like we can't find that page!" from "SoundCloud".
Does One have to have a log-in to SoundCloud to be able to hear the Song?
I'll ck. back later... Always interested in hearing MTS samples.
Thanks.

Apophenia,
Not sure why but I rec'd an email for an update to this post?
Anyway, ck.d out Your SoundCloud and Nice Job on the Pieces. I particularly like "So It's Decided". I'm hearing a Guitar Lead on it and I hope You don't mind if I take some Liberties with it...
If I get a chance, I'll get it back to You.
All the Best,
Chris

That sounds fun Chris. Do what you like. I hope it turns out well. I had a rough time making that tune. I hope you like it. i'll have a new tune up that I'm working on in a few more days.
I've kind of been in transition... getting used to some new VST's and getting rid of the VST's I don't need. It's kinda rough and also I'm adjusting to a new acoustical space for my monitors.
But anyways, thanks for listening.

I don't know much about electronic music but these sound very good to me. Some pretty cool effects i must say. Is this all done in MTS?

Re: Apophenia Confabulation
Thanks André I appreciate it.
To be honest, I just recently started using EnergyXT alongside of MultitrackStudio, but I still use MultitrackStudio Pro Plus as my main DAW for both composing and mixdowns. Some types of edits and composing techniques are easier to do in MTS, but others are easier to do in EnergyXT. I like to use both, so I just transfer the multitracks back and forth between them. It works out really well. As for effects, most of those are done in MTS because MTS has better control of VST plugin chains and much more options (band, multi, stereo, ms, etc). Also, I haven't yet figured out how to do automation in EnergyXT. Probably the thing that's helped out most is just sticking to using better quality VSTi synths. For a long time I've been using freebies, but some freebies sound pro and others don't. As of today, the main VSTi's I use now are the free versions of these:
Kore Player (with one paid for soundpack)
Vanguard (demo)
Zebra2 (demo)
Synth1 (free)
Triangle II (free)
String Theory (free)
There are a few others I like to use but I forget their names at the moment.
But anyways, thanks very much for listening and/or downloading.
I posted up another tune today and I have more coming up...
