Hi everyone, Is there a plugin for testing your mixes on different devices? such as car stereo, CD player etc? I've been told there is but can't find anything. It would be nice to finish a mix then use a plugin to see what it would sound like on other devices without having to burn a cd or put tracks on a stick. Thank you in advance, any help would be appreciated............cheers

VNoPhones has a few, including car stereo. I have no idea how good or bad they are as I have never compared results.

Google reports that this site contains malware.

I found also this:

I also didn't know that this kind of stuff exist.
I would like to hear experiences of using it from people who used it.

Probably because it is an old website.

You could also try beyerdynamicVS virtualstudio

I had issues with MTS though so I haven't tried it lately.

Update: I downloaded it again and it seems to work ok
The site is in German but if you scroll down to the DOWNLOAD it it is self explanatory.

Personally, I test my mix in 4 ways: on home speakers, headphones, phone speaker and car speakers.

Obviously, mix can't sound the same on all speakers, but I start with headphones and home speakers and then test it on car and phone speakers.

I don't think any software can replace real testing. It's a bit of a hassle, but it's worth it.

One trick that I have found usefull is to place EQ on master output and just cut off low and high frequencies (MTS has built in effect), that way you can achieve best sound on all speakers, because not all speakers have low and high frequencies the same, but they all have mid frequencies, so it's better to test on bad two speakers than on some high-end speakers.
Also, regarding panning, don't use extreme left and right panning, because not all speakers are stereo.
I never do mixing on 5.1 speakers or similar, because reality is that number of most speakers are either 1 or 2.
