New Registered User - first test results

Post by teej813 »

Thanks again, everybody, for the help while i tried out MTS. It's now registered, and i've started playing for real.

I've duplicated my n-Track demo song as closely as possible in MTS. Same WAV files, same number of effects, same groups, same AUXes.. errr.. Effects Returns, but different effects (native MTS rather than native N plus freebies).

Note: MTS crashed when i tried to run N's parametric EQ.

Results:
While N ran 70-85% CPU usage and stuttered and skipped thru the song, MTS played it flawlessly at 20-25%. Yes, i tried replacing N's parametric with N's graphical EQ in the N test song. In fact, i removed any effect that wasn't native to N. Same results.

i'm smilin' so far. :D

Great to see you smilin', teej!

I think that smile will continue to grow. Watch out for "crow's feet" though - a possible side effect from using MTS. :)

Maybe we can get Teej to write this up for the Audiominds page?

Same demo song, different software?

Interesting.

haha.. saz. I already got crows feet! All over, actually, but that's prolly more info than you wanted.

yikes, Mac..

ummm.. two thoughts on this.

1. Not sure Don would accept anything i've written. I haven't changed (or had access to change) a single page since i stepped down at AM, and Don & I have gotten along a lot better since i did.

2. Not sure i'd want to write anything that puts a program (N, in this case) in an unfavorable light. N has its place, and there are many who use it without trouble. I did for years until a recent hardware change.

Nah.. think i'll just continue to post at AM occasionally and not press my luck.
