Overview Bar no snap?

Why doesn't the snap work in the Overview Bar?
It moves to 'nice' position automatically, so I'm not quite sure what you'd expect 'snap' to do. You'd have to point the mouse with nanometer accuracy in order to point to the right 1/8 note, for example.
