touch automation external AUs

dear mr. Bremers,
would you consider adding touch automation for AU parameters/knobs?
Kind regards..
edit: being able to direct MIDI at AU FX with a MIDI learn function would also be a route to the function I’m after (real-time recording of parameter change)

The reason this doesn't work is that, well, it didn't work. Could only be solved by either rewriting AU support from scratch, or Apple fixing something.
I quickly tried this again, and it looks like the latter has happened! Will look into that

It was added in February 2023.
It's part of the Pro Extension IAP.

Very cool!! can you midi map a midi controller to Auv3 GUI knobs also and record automation?

No.
Instruments do receive MIDI controllers of course, so if an AUv3 knob responds to a certain MIDI controllers that would work.
