Static when recording audio from built in mic

There is this weird static/clicking on every track I record on ipad pro. This is the first day I am using so right out of the box I am having issues. Any ideas?

Are you using the built-in mic?
If yes, please go to Studio-->Preferences and set "New song samplerate" to 48000 Hz. Then do Song-->New Song and try recording again.
