MTS Live

Post by cidbil »

I brought the DAW to a show we did on New Years eve and tried a live recording. Recorded three 40 min. sets flawlessly.

Here's one of the tunes, one I made up with a friend.

I like live onlocation recordings best, always have.

You done a good job there.

Well, somebody flubbed the scale run on the flattop at the beginning...

And the banjo slipped tuning on one string...

But that is good reason to record the sets, burn 'em to CD and pass 'em out so the band members can listen in the truck between gigs.

Works here like a charm. 8)

If you guys ever look out there and see a black guy with a Martin wantin' ta jam, that's me.

Yeah, actualy better than I thought it would.

Yeah, seems there's always a real energy you can't get elsewhere.
This little endeavor convinced the skeptics in the band that we could do a decent recording without mortgaing the house. (It was actually comical to watch their jaws drop the first time I let them hear it. :D Lot of cringing at the flubs too)

Hey Mac, I'll be looking for that black guy with the Martin. :)
