help- how to use my keyboard as a midi controller

Post by guy the fly »

someone please help me! I have only been recording audio on mts. going well but I would like to use the midi sounds that are on offer on mts. Takes too long to write in notes so I bought a usb-midi cable for my midi keyboard. Can generate the sounds on my keys but notes are delayed and repeated. It sounds disgusting. Impossible . Have read the manual but cant change situation. I have a very basic setup.Any tips please.

Sounds like you need to turn Midi Echo or sometimes called Midi Loop off, either in the keyboard or the software.

You likely have a continous loop going on, a common noob situation.

You should tell the exact make and model of both keyboard and USB interface here for more help.

Make sure you also select the ASIO sound driver set in the studio preferences. You may also need to configure your ASIO control panel of your interface.
