Wanna fix that feedback from other strings during solos?
Easy fix...I just thought of it today on my Thunderstruck cover (AC/DC)...It's a good idea to jam cotton balls in between the strings (except for the ones you're working on) to prevent feedback or other noises when accidentally hitting other strings! Enjoy!
Guitar Trick!
Good tip Matt. Palm-muting is the method of choice I guess, but I've used various methods to dampen strings as well - hair bands at the nut - felt or flannel woven in the strings at the bridge, etc.
Keeping vibrations that we don't want, from sounding, is just as important as sounding the ones we do - and just as difficult to acheive, if not more so.

Personally...
I prefer palm-muting myself. But can be difficult during solos at high volumes.
You do have a good point there though, especially for playing out...There's always some you want
Thanks for those tips! The only way to get the words out is to share knowledge!
