24 track Live Recording in 15 minutes

Post by mixont70706 »

This is a live recording of our church's Valentine Banquet 2008. This is the first mix; Let me know what you think.

Recorded with:
Split Snake
Soundcraft Studio 24/48
Motu 2048 MK1 PCI-324
Computer: Intel PIII 1GHz
512 PC133 RAM
Windows XP SP2
eRazor 32MB AGP Video Card
Multitrack Studio Pro 4.31
Sound Blaster Live
3 Black Face ADAT for AD/DA conversion.

This is the first of 26 songs recorded over a 2.5 hour period. During the recording all 24 track were enabled and recorded. CPU usage never went over 18% and that is with over 2 hours of audio recorded (16.7GB worth of .wav files).

Hats off to the makers of Multitrack Studio, I had used Cool Edit Pro for a long time and thought I would never switch. But when I started having problems with it decided to try a more up-to-date product that I could afford. Multitrack Studio Pro fit my budget and got me out of a pinch. For you see I down loaded Multitrack Studio, installed it in 10min configured the sound card in 5 and started recording. I was amazed how simple it was to use and configure.

Thank you
Terry

I can only listen on cheap PC speakers at the moment, but it sounds very good!

Nice little trip down memory lane.

Looking forward to a listen on better speakers...

and some more clips.

Very nice, arrangement an all. The singing is great, and for a live take it's better than most of the pros. I look forward to hearing the rest of them. :D

I am a lucky guy the lady singing on the Shoop Shoop Song is my wife.
I am actually playing lead guitar on that song.

Thanks for the positive comments. 8)

Listened to the other clips and have to say - it's gonna be hard to top the Shoop Shoop Song. :)

Your wife nailed the vocals, the backing was very good and you did a great mix.

Good to hear another MTS success story!

Sounds like you all had a great party. It's nice to hear people enjoying their music. The mixes are realistic, and the band sound nice and tight considering you only do this once a year. Great.
