Notch In Time

Post by doveman »

I've been fooling around with gear for weeks ... latest messing aroung wiht pickups. Anyway, I decided to make some music. This clip is a reggae-ish tune using:
  • G&L Legacy ... stock pickups ... mid-brg notch about 5 Treb/8 bass
  • Brown Note D'Lite 22/33 with 5881 tubes on OD setting
  • Parallel cabs 1x12 Celestion G-1265 + 2x10 Emi 10516
  • Yamaha Bass thru Fender Bassman
  • Jamstix 2 for the drums
  • Using Sennheiser e609 mics thru Bluetube preamp

The amp is sounding sweet.

Thanks ... I built that amp myself ... my first amp build. I liked it so much that I gave my 30 year old Mesa/Boogie to my son on his 20th birthday (they both have the same birthday March 24th). Here's a link to the build thread ... pix heavy ... but something I'm really proud of ...

I remember the build from a thread at AudioMinds.

You should be proud - great job!

Cool that your son got the Mesa.

John

BTW - If you have any more old amps lying around, I've got a birthday coming up. :D

Quite talented, I would say . . . Are all those guitars still in your possession, or are you a dealer under cover? Every time I clicked a different song, there was another, different guitar. But . . . of course you need one for each sound.

I could smell the solder and flux when I looked over the amp kit. Nice.

LOL ... Yeah ... I have 5 electrics ... 2 acoustics ... 1 bass. More than I need but I have a Strat-like, Tele-like, Semi-, SG-Like, P90 ... so they all have different sounds.
