Windows MIDI Services

Note: Windows MIDI Services are available for Windows only.

Windows MIDI Services is the brand-new MIDI stack for Windows, supporting both MIDI 1.0 and MIDI 2.0. If Windows MIDI Services is present on a computer, the old MIDI 1.0 API is routed through Windows MIDI Services, so all existing MIDI apps will continue to work.

We plan to release an update once the required parts of Windows MIDI Services are included with Windows, so MultitrackStudio uses Windows MIDI Services directly (without the limitations of the old API). This will enable MIDI 2.0 and MIDI-CI support in MultitrackStudio.
